NIA summons Mirwaiz to Delhi for third time, promises adequate security cover | KNO

Srinagar, April 05 (KNO) : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has issued a third notice to Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in an alleged militancy funding case asking him to produce himself before the agency April 8 on the pretext of providing him adequate security cover IN Delhi. According to the sources, the central agency has issued a notice to the Mirwaiz, asking him to appear at its New Delhi headquarters on April 8. The notice says that Mirwaiz’s security concerns in New Delhi will be taken care of, they said. Mirwaiz has refused to travel to Delhi on earlier two occasions, citing security threat. Talking to KNO, sources in Hurriyat said Mirwaiz was exploring options and no decision has been taken yet.(KNO)
